Tech Sgt. Roman Jeter, C-130 Aircraft Crew Chief reenlists for six more years with the 107th Airlift Wing. Lt. Col. Christopher Thurn, 107th Airlift Wing's Maintenance Squadron Commander, performed the reenlistment oath on June 20, 2011.

"I'm proud of the work Tech. Sgt. Jeter does for our unit and want to highlight the great work our maintenance airmen do here at Niagara." said Thurn.

"I have twenty two years service and reenlisting for six more years is a great feeling." said Jeter. "Time flies when you're working with the best unit in the Air National Guard."

Jeter was part of a contingent from the 107th Airlift Wing that supported an overseas deployment to Afghanistan providing airlift support to United States and Coalition Forces. C-130 crew chiefs service the aircraft in the most remote field conditions when deployed overseas, sometimes working on gravel runways and hostile conditions while enemy forces are trying to attack the base.
