CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT EDWARD J. STEFIK

Chief Master Sgt. Edward J. Stefik is the Command Chief of the 107th Attack Wing, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, NY. CMSgt Stefik advises the Wing Commander and their staff on all matters influencing mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of the more than 600 assigned enlisted personnel. Additionally, he disseminates commander policies to all levels of the enlisted force.

CMSgt Stefik enlisted in the Army in 1989 and served as a combat engineer until his honorable discharge in 2005. After a brief break in service he entered the New York Air National Guard, joining the 107th Security Forces Squadron in 2008. During his career, CMSgt Stefik has served as part of the Foreign Army Training Command and the Coalition Military Assistance and Training Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command – Baghdad, Iraq. Where he conducted combat operations in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Additionally, CMSgt Stefik has worked with multi-national forces in Bahrain and South Africa. He has also served in the Republic of South Korea for joint exercises KEY RESOLVE. CMSgt Stefik was assigned to the Air Mobility Command,

U.S. Transportation Command, and Joint Task Force as the NCOIC of Detainee Movement Operations, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in direct support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and FREEDOM SENTINAL. CMSgt Stefik has participated in domestic exercise, VIGILIANT GUARD where he worked in support of domestic joint services and civilian authorities. Prior to his current position, the Command Chief was the superintendent of logistics and operations for the 107 SFS.

CMSgt Stefik is employed by the New York State Police as a State Trooper. There he specializes as a Master Diver for the Underwater Recovery Team, Boat Operator, Senior Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, and Rifleman/Observer for the Special Operations Response Team.
