  • President Fillmore Honored by 107th on Behalf of White House

    On a bitter winter's morning, the 107th Airlift Wing honored Millard Fillmore, the nation's 13th president, with a wreath laying ceremony at his grave at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo on Friday, Jan. 6. Col. Gray R. Charlton, the wing vice commander, laid the wreath on behalf of President Barack Obama in front of dignitaries and admirers of President Millard Fillmore. The ceremony, which is in its 52nd year, is held by the University at Buffalo to mark the western New York native's birthday.
  • A Day of Remembrance at State University

    The 107th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, participated in Veterans Day celebrations held by the State University of New York at Buffalo at their campus in Amherst, Nov. 11, 2016. Col. Robert Kilgore, commander of the 107th AW, was invited to speak to those in attendance. Kilgore was one of the featured veteran speakers that addressed the those who gathered to watched the event.

  • Going Airborne with the 274th ASOS

    More than 15 Airmen from the 274th Air Support Operations Squadron, Syracuse, conducted airborne and air assault training at Ft. Drum, Sept. 10, 2016. The Airmen conducted a series of parachute jumps as part of an annual requirement to meet a minimum amount of jumps for those that are qualified. Supporting the Airmen were four UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the 10th Aviation Brigade, Ft. Drum, and a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the 1-169th General Support Aviation Battalion, Rochester.
  • 107th Civil Engineers Deploy to Albania on Humanitarian Mission

    More than 25 Airmen from the 107th Civil Engineer Squadron from the 107th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, participated in a two-week Deployment For Training to Albania, June 18-July 2, 2016. The deployment saw the Airmen work in the vicinity of Vau Dejes, where they renovated a clinic and a school that both serve the needs of the local municipality. The work is being done in conjunction with Airmen from the New Jersey Air National Guard who will arrive immediately after the members of the 107th CES leave, and complete the work being done on the two buildings.

  • 107th Security Forces Conducts Heavy Weapons Training

    More than 30 members of the 107th Security Forces Squadron, New York Air National Guard, conducted heavy weapons training and qualification in Michigan, June 20-24, 2016. The Airmen trained at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena, and qualified at Camp Grayling as part of their yearly requirement to remain proficient in their weapon systems.
  • Valentine’s from Kids of Erie County Schools

    Members of the 107th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, received Valentine's Day cards here made my local area students, Feb. 10, 2016. Erie County legislator Lynne Dixon presented the cards on behalf of the students from more than 35 Erie County schools. The handmade cards have been presented to the Airmen of the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station every year since 2010.
