Happy Independence Day!! Enjoy the time with your friends, families and loved ones, and remember to stay safe today!
What a trip! Our civil engineers got back from West Virginia over the weekend, having wrapped up the first two weeks of an eight week project at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind as part of an Innovative Readiness Training mission. Three other Air National Guard units are going to take finish things up. The people, the school and the state all treated us so well, thank you to everyone! Here are a few words and photos about what we did ‼️‼️ https://dvidshub.net/r/qzhcw9
We are nearing the end of our time here at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind, but we are still working hard till the last minute! This has been a great Innovative Readiness Training mission over the last two weeks. Take a look at some of the things we have been doing the last couple days https://dvidshub.net/r/fv6ewu
Thank you very much to WDVM for coming out to visit with us today at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind! Here is the fantastic coverage they gave us today 😁😁 http://www.localdvm.com/news/west-virginia/new-york-airmen-provide-much-needed-repairs-to-school-for-kids-with-disabilities/1251981237
Our civil engineers are still at it here at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind, breaking ground in every literal way. Due to the age of the school, some areas were not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. One of the great things our Airmen are working on, is making the school more accessible to those with disabilities, particularly wheel chairs. By time school is back in session, it will be better able to accommodate students. Take at look at some of the progress! https://dvidshub.net/r/vwu82y
It is that time of year again, deployment for training!! 😍😍 The 107th Civil Engineer Squadron is in Romney, W. Va., at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind. We are part of an Innovative Readiness Training mission, which is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civil-military program that brings aid to underserved communities. This school was founded in 1870, and some of the buildings here were used during the Civil War! Work began right after school ended, and we are the first of four units that will ensure the school is brought up to date and is more accessible than ever before to those with disabilities. Here is a peak at some of the work being done this week ➡️➡️ https://dvidshub.net/r/nzs84y
