Day of Caring
On Aug. 18, 107th Airlift Wing members participated in the 2010 United Way Day of Caring. Lt. Col. Dave Durkee, Lt.Col. Todd Guay and his wife Jennifer, Capt. Pete Nowak, Capt. Craig Smith, 2nd Lt. Nick Langenfeld, 2nd Lt. Lindsay Sorce, Senior Master Sgt. Ray Fitzpatrick, Senior Master Sgt. Brian Howes and Staff Sgt. Grand Island Town Supervisor, Peter McMahon, was present to welcome the volunteers and kick off the event. The tradition of the United Way Day of Caring was established in 1992, matching volunteers with projects for local nonprofit health and service agencies.
