Local employers head to MacDill AFB
Local Tim Hortons owner Robert Burns (on left) and his son Jared Burns inspect the cockpit of a KC-135. The two employers along with more than 35 other local employers had the opportunity to tour the KC-135 on a recent ESGR funded trip to the 927th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla. "Man this plane is awesome," said Jared Burns, Vice President of Operations for five local Tim Hortons. "Did you see me in the cockpit ? That was so cool, I want to be a pilot," he added.
