Bill Moore, a former P-51 Mustang pilot assigned to the 339th Fighter Group, Fowlmere, England, during World War II, attends a group reunion, Kenosha, Wis., Sept. 30, 2017. Moore flew five combat missions with the 339th FG before being shot down on Sept. 13, 1944, and becoming a prisoner of war in Germany for nine months until being liberated by the Russians at the end of the war in Europe in May, 1945.
