Ray Lloyd 107th Airlift Wing Niagara Falls, NY -- The 107th Airlift Wing steps up to help the Buffalo News and Women & Children's Hospitals 30th Anniversary Kids Day March 20, 2012. Unit members hit the streets to peddle the news for $1.00 donation during the morning rush hour. 1200 papers needed to be sold and the proceeds benefit the hospital in Western New York. "The 107th members are honored to participate in the annual event and would like to thank all who purchased the Buffalo News to help in Kids Day. "said Col. John Higgins, 107th AW, Vice Commander. This has been the 25th year that the 107th volunteered to help sell the Kids Day paper for this event. Helping the community is what the New York Air National Guard does when called. The 107th members live and work in the community and also serve their nation and state. "It's nice to see how generous people are in given to a great cause ." said Master Sgt. Susan Clark, 107thAW, Knowledge Operations Manager. The day ended with a generous amount of $ 1,280.24 mission accomplished.
