After more than 20 hours of flight and numerous layovers, members from the 107th Air Refueling Wing finally arrived to their destination in Iraq.
The 107th members wasted no time making their presence known, within hours from their arrival they were hard at work on projects such as setting T- walls, which are walls that surround buildings designed to protect the men and women of the armed forces from incoming rounds.
Other projects included repair and maintenance of the more than 60 generators that provide power for the base. Members of the utility shop also provided the necessary repairs and maintenance to keep clean water flowing in and wastewater flowing out. Members of the structure shop are ready and able to provide support for any carpentry or welding project the base may need. And members of the heating, venting and air-conditioning shop will keep troops warm in the cold winter months and cool in the blazing summer heat.
